Week 13

Lab - This week in lab we looked at a couple of articles relating climate change, and the different effects it is having in Iowa. We are predicted to have 3x's the number of 90+ degree days by the year 2050. Evidence shows that we have 10 more frost free days over 100 years. Our annual rain increased 4" each year. We are experiencing less snow in December based in Iowa City. Lastly, we are predicted to eventually have summers similar to Alabama and winters similar to Nebraska. According to the articles, it is suggested to create more solar and wind energy.

Press book - This week in the press book, we learn about earths atmosphere and its layers of gases, mainly nitrogen and oxygen. This is shown as a big blue line around earths circumference. We also learned about what greenhouse gas consisting of carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, methane, water vapor, and
ozone.

Lecture - This week in lecture we continued to discuss climate change, and how the majority of people believe in climate change, but we are told the gap of those who believe and don't is much closer. Continuing we also learned why some regions have to be hot, while others are cold. The acronym we use for this is L.O.W.E.R Near water.
